Unleashing the Power of AI

By leveraging AI Large Language Models (such as Open.ai / ChatGPT), algorithms and advanced Machine Learning (ML) models, including using datasets to train and fine-tune customized versions of those LLMs we are able to deliver intelligent and innovative solutions that streamline operations, improve customer experiences, and drive business growth to our clients. 

Implementing a custom AI bot built on ChatGPT requires advanced development skills (such as in the Python development language, LlamaIndex, Langchain, Azure and JSONL formatting), and an understanding of concepts such as bias, ethical AI, hallucinations, training datasets, structured data inputs, Pydantic output parsing and guardrails. We are very fortunate to have a client (Kwanele) who won funding and support from international organisations to launch just such a custom AI bot. This meant that, as part of the design and development process, we have had access to and learned from globally recognised experts in this field from the beginning of the AI revolution.

Enhancing Efficiency and Automation

ADS is utilizing AI to automate and enhance repetitive and time-consuming tasks, enabling businesses to optimize their operations. AI-powered systems can analyze large volumes of data, identify patterns, and generate valuable insights at an unprecedented speed. This allows our clients to make data-driven decisions, streamline processes, and allocate resources more efficiently, resulting in cost savings and improved productivity.

An example of this is the patented AI-powered car scanning app called i-Dent-ify that we built for a client. The app allows users to scan different angles of their cars with their cameras. The app will pick up any dents and scratches and create a digital report for the user. This is a great tool for the automotive industry, especially car rental agencies and vehicle marketplaces.

Improving Access, Service and Sales

We also built an AI-powered bot for Kwanele to provide survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV) with easy access to critical legal information about protection orders (other areas like a rape toolkit will be added). The bot is being built by ‘training’ a Large Language Model (LLM) to fine-tune a layer on top of ChatGPT with data and content to simplify complex legal terminology into plain English, ensuring survivors can navigate the legal process with confidence and clarity. The bot won the 2nd Prize (and $30,000 in prize money) in The Mozilla Foundation’s Ethical AI Challenge in San Francisco in May 2023. We are very proud because the competition was so fierce - there were over 240 entries for this challenge from 46 countries. It has also won further funding and recognition from prestigious international bodies such as The Gate Foundation.
